That's what I do. ^^^^^^^^

I hang them on a pant hanger, cover them with a clear kitchen trash bag (cut a small hole). I make a descriptions of the quilt in the 'package', written on a bookmark blank, punch a 1/2" hole and put that over the hook and hang them. Everything is there nice and safe, away from critters (or all shapes or sizes or species).

This is also how I store my finished tops that needed to be quilted. Since they are usually thinner than the quilts, I use the hanger that holds several pairs of slacks. Then the tag lists every item that is stored in that hanger. Works well for me.
