Twin bed? Store it in the basement. Use large trash bags on each end of the box spring and mattress to keep it clean. Get it out there. Easy to move back when /if you need to. Why take up space with it if it is not going to be needed except for minimal use?
My space "used" to be the guest room. We Never have guests so out one of the twin beds went. In moved me! My space is 13 by 17 so the one twin bed takes up little space. I pile on it! I think of getting rid of it too.
