I think I agree with this -- the pattern is so busy you won't see a lot of the quilting so don't get too detailed. You can do some cool quilting in the borders to make the rest of it pop.
I agree. In this case, the fabrics are the star of the show. The quilting is just to hold it together. Here is a picture of a bargello variation I quilted for a friend. you can see the feathers in some places, but not much! If it had been mine, I would have done something simpler. Let those fabrics shine!
