You can't seem to get 12 from a yard anymore at the 10 1/2" measurement, takes another whole strip of fabric. I'm not to much of a scrappy quilter and it is a lot of waste if your not, just the reason I have not signed up for the next month's yet. Just a thought
The reasoning behind 10.5 and not 10.. not everyone is accurate with a rotary cutter (wonky off grain).. .. at 10. sq, each member can cut down to their own measurement of 10 inches if they are using layer cake patterns.. its give that lil bit of leeway to square up if need be..
