Welcome from the gulf! I'm originally born and bred Hoosier. That's where my roots are. No one taught me how to quilt. Haven't made many at all but I learned by watching videos on Youtube and PBS on Saturday morning. If you get an opportunity to take a special class then do. You can go to YouTube and type in quilting lessons for beginners. If you have a smart phone and happen to be on lunch you can get it by downloading the app for YouTube also. This board will have different links for you to check out. You can start small with little blankets, coasters, placemats, etc. Just enjoy the ride. Ignore any quilt police!
