Default 30's Reproduction - Daisy Doodle

This one is for me. As I have mentioned before I take the month of December off to work on my own projects and to get ready for our large family Christmas. Between cleaning, decorating, cooking and wrapping I used my spare time to piece this top that I have been wanting to make for the last few years. I found the pattern in a May issue of Fons and Porter's Magazine (sorry I don't remember what year). The instructions call for cutting the background in squares, baste or glue the quarter circles on top of the squares, then applique bias strips over the curved raw edges. My 7 inch circle ruler that I use with my longarm machine was the perfect size to use to cut the quarter circles. It went together very, very fast. I still need to stitch the binding to the back and add a label, then it will be ready to hang in my sewing/quilting room for me to enjoy for awhile.
