I love vintage tablecloths. I love to quilt them and give them a new life/purpose.
I found this one last summer at my church yard sale....YAY! I added fabrics from my stash....and made it into this quilt.
I love that I found so many modern fabrics in my stash that compliment this decades old tablecloth. So this project cost me time & 50 cents. Everything else came from my stash.
I quilted it last night. Simple designs to match the whole modern theme. It did need some extra stabilizer on the back tablecloth. It wasn't perfectly square...and due to the weave of the fabric I wasn't going to be able to make it completely square. So I just worked it in best I could. That's kind of the bugger of working with vintage items...but I love the finish. As soon as I wash it it will drape properly and be used.
