I buy and use vintage/antique machines and all the bobbins come loaded with 2 or more thread colors on each bobbin. The personal best was 7 colors on a class 15 bobbin. I
I myself put only 2 at most onto a bobbin. Some machine bobbins are neither cheap nor plentiful so I make do with what I have.
