For fun, here are some of the bobbins I have. Most I have machines for, some I have no clue what they fit.
The are all different - either height or width or center hole.
And more bobbins - and shuttles. These are a set of Boye shuttles - in numerical order from left. The riased one is the Domestic that came with my machine, as it's a bit different looking then the #7 Boye that is listed as fitting the Domestic. It does fit, just does not have the closure part.

BTW - there are many machines Boye didn't make shuttles for. My goal is to have a machine that goes with each that they did make.
