This quilt is very cute and makes nice use of the fabric. For smaller quilts using the same fabric, perhaps you could fussy cut the little animals and use the landscape areas in more random ways. I could see it in something like a double Irish chain, with the light pink as the negative space and rows of the darker pink squares on either side of the green squares. By chance, I found a site showing the assembly of a double Irish chain that actually has a similar color arrangement, with a green print as the central chain. And it's small, only 9 blocks.

thank you for this. I have done another one in pram size with a little bit of appliqué using the main fabric. But still have another to make so will have a look at the link. Not triplets but three babies due by beginning of April, two within a day of each other, one in Oz one here in Abz and the third in April also in Abz. The quilts are for the April baby. I did Beatrix Potter quilts curtains and storage boxes for one set of parents and vintage teddies and modern elephants for baby in Oz. I'm hoping to get all these finished plus another for my daughters friend in Oz before I fly out in couple of weeks fir a month. Busy, busy times. Some winter sunshine will be appreciated!
