[ATTACH=CONFIG]458906[/ATTACH][ATTACH=CONFIG]458905[/ATTACH]We're leaving in two hours to go see a Free (maybe Model C - it looks just like the sad one I have) that is on CL for over $100. I've never spent more than $50, so this is a big decision. But it would give me a real model to use when trying to fix the rusted one I have, plus it looks so pretty...I'll have to see in person, but the head looks pretty good in the photos.
I do have a good assortment of attachments that I got with the other Free.
The downside is that the pretty cabinet is refinished, not restored, so the cool measuring tape stencil is gone.
I asked if the shuttle is there and the owner didn't know - she only used it as furniture. I live in upstate NY, if that helps judge whether it's a reasonable price.
I believe the adage that things are worth what you're willing to pay, but also don't want to spend this much if it's really outrageous.
