I have the Montgomery Ward my parents bought for me when I was a teenager. I have it in a sewing cabinet so that the machine is flat with the surface of the cabinet. I have been thinking I should start using it again, it will make piecing easy. My model is a 1971 model and it has never been serviced. It is heavy and I have the manuals and all the accessories, including the cams. I have to admit, it is a very pretty machine, much more so than the plastic ones of today. a while ago I was thinking of buying a backup one on e-Bay, it went for over $325.00, so if you can get one for $20.00 and it works, why not buy it? As far as not sewing a straight line as one poster said, mine always sewed nice and straight. I think you might enjoy it.
