What a truly inspired quilt and I'm sure he will cherish the memories that come to mind as he sleeps under his quilt. Don't feel too bad about taking a year to make a quilt. I started to make a quilt for DH for our 25th anniversary and finished it 5 years later. I told him the quilt had to age, like fine wine, before he could have it.
