Mary, I used squares cut at 9" square, sewed edges turned, quilted .... then mistakingly measure 2" from corners and drew a 45 degree line and sewed with outside fabric facing in. When I turned right side out I asked myself "self what did you do wrong? You do not have any points to turn down." Finished size is approx 6" square...the little corners give the box it's shape.
