I Won A Quilt!
I'm snowbirding in AZ in a mobile home park and we had a dinner last night with raffle prizes. A gal in the park belongs to a group of church ladies who make quilts for seriously ill individuals. They receive information from their congregation about these individuals and they make a few quilts a month and mail/ship them to the recipients. They can go to anybody - friends, relatives, friends of friends, casual acquaintances, anybody, in any location in the US and Canada. The gal in our park made this quilt for the raffle and I won it! It's especially meaningful to me because we have connected and become friends and now I have something special she made. It's going up on the wall in my living room. The scriptures are handwritten by a gal at the church, she does a really lovely job.
