I Googled 2 sided fabric and wound up on fabric.com,
http://www.fabric.com/SitePages/Glossary.aspx in their definitions. Double cloth is two-sided fabric. From there Google took me to some place in Japan that opened in 1999 and sells it. I know from this it is made but would have to do more digging to find more out. I remember seeing double sided fabric in the 70's but it seems like it had/or was polyester.
