Your statement confuses me, are you looking for info on other brands or just berninas, because you said you didn't want a janome, but also said you wanted a comparison of various machines. What features do you want most in an embroidery machine. All brands have low to high end models that do well but all are different in their own ways. Do you want good sewing features and embroidery or do you want an embroidery only machine. it is best to go try out machines as these cost a great deal of money and you don't want to invest in a machine you don't like.
