I think what really matters is that whatever your purpose in posting, you make it very clear what kind of feedback you are looking for. That way, we know why the post is made and how to respond appropriately.
Sometimes with a minor mistake the question might be, "This doesn't bother me that much, but would it bother you if I gave this quilt to you with this mistake in it?" That is how I tend to look at the should I fix it or not questions.
If it really bothered me, I would KNOW I had to fix it. LOL
