I've had a $100 Rowenta which broke after less than 2 years. When I checked online reviews I was very dismayed at the overwhelming negative vs. positive results for Rowenta. I replaced it with a Black & Decker 'Digital Advantage' for around $50. (Mimi: It's still available) That was over 2 years ago. It's been a great workhorse. The has auto shut off (my main concern). The steam is great! Only spits if I overfill. When I don't want steam, it doesn't give me stream. Been a great appliance for me.
