Agree ... a narrow white border will help finish the letters on the edge (H and E). After that I kind of favor a wide red border then bind in blue. I say red because in the quilt the red is in the center whereas the blues are on the edges. The wide red border will help pull everything together.
This is pretty much my thoughts too but I thought after floating with the white go with a 3" wide red then a 3" wide dark blue then bind with the red.
