I just tried this quilter's method for making your own spray glue, using flour, water, salt and alcohol. http://californiaquilting.blogspot.c...l-glue-to.html. I just mixed it up, poured it in an empty spray starch bottle and sandwiched the quilt just like you would if you were using school glue. I used this on my Celtic Solstice quilt and it worked great. The layers held together just fine and I had no problems with slippage or puckers. I don't know how well it would hold up if you basted and then left it for a long time, but if I'm going to baste & quilt immediately, I'll definately use this again. No nasty fumes!
