Just do it!!
My first attempt at free motion quilting was ten years ago - I had no idea what I was doing and nearly burned out the motor on my sewing machine!! But you know what? I loved what I did. So don't be afraid to be less than perfect - the more you play the better you'll get. So my advice is - just do it!!!
