Ideas needed for how to quilt these blocks please?
Last autumn I had to have a reconstruction of my shoulder and consequently I can only do a little hand sewing at the moment. I have been working on what will be a king-size quilt, but I am doing it as 'quilt as you go'. I have adapted the pattern from 'Hexagogo' by Tacha Bruecher. Each block is made up of hexagons of various shades of two colours eg. yellow/green, green/blue, blue/purple and the colours then drift in a diagonal pattern. The sashing and backing is white cotton. As it is pretty much all hand sewn I want to hand quilt as well - and here is where I need the help. I have thought of making three or so hexagon shaped templates and simply hand quilt in those shapes? I could also sew 1/4 inch inside every other hexagon? I need your comments and ideas please. Many thanks.
