I think I must have read the same thread. When I was making my QAG wickedly easy quilt block for a baby quilt, I ironed before FMQing. Just lightly with a warm, not hot iron. I do think it kept the pieces together better. It would be difficult to do with a large project tho. But I am about to put together another whole baby quilt and I think I'll try ironing it again, just to see if it makes a difference.
