What do I use to remove scotch tape and sticky from the black finish??
Well, I bought another 15-91..... my SIL used mine to FMQ a piece a couple of weeks ago so I was out hunting for another machine to give her for her birthday coming up soon. The machine is in pretty good condition but dirty.... nicotine stains, fuzz and dust everywhere. The lady I bought it from said she used it a lot making her kids clothes, etc., but the decals are very good so I'm thinking it wasn't used as much as many I've seen.
The problem is that there are a couple of strips of scotch tape on the bed and a strip of sticky goo that I assume was another strip of scotch tape that was removed. I know I've seen solutions for removing the tape and sticky but can't remember where and I didn't print it out.... that's the only way I can keep things once I've found them.
I don't want to damage the nice finish so I assume I shouldn't use goo-be-gone. Wouldn't that ruin the finish? What should I use? The tape appears to have been stuck down for years.
I'll go take a picture and post it so you all can see the problem I'm asking about.
