I use a lot of hobbs battings and purchase them from connecting threads often- they have good sales and free shipping at $50 so I can usually grab a couple when a sale comes along. as for which one??? well that depends on you, your project, which batting is best for what you are going to use it for. read the descriptions and choose the batting that has the properties you want- allows the quilting space you want (some need to be quilted densely - like every 2", others allow a lot more space between quilting lines- it's important to choose one that coincides with the quilting you plan to do) personally I love the wool batting- but it is expensive & I reserve it for the really special quilts (not that they are not all special) I often use heirloom 80/20; sometimes I want a fusible one, it all just depends on what I need the batting for at the moment.
