visit 'Spoonflower' which is a fabric designing site, create a couple of your designs, you can save them for future 'runs' have a couple yards made and then visit shops, send swatches to fabric companies that carry the *style* of fabric you are designing and see how it is received. if you find people are not 'receptive' of your designs give the fabric to your mom to use. or, skip spoonflower- and just submit the designs to the fabric sites (I just think it would be more fun to see the designs actually on fabric. )
