What Jon said. De-solder, re-solder. If you've never done it, I believe it's possible to still buy a kit at Radio Shack with the basics in it, as well as modest instructions. I believe the one for $16.99 will do what you need. And you'll have it for other repair jobs. Or maybe borrow one. You need at least 25 watts, 40 is better, and you can dial it down with one of your other foot pedal, line cord assemblies, by plugging it into the motor receptacle and controlling the heat with the foot pedal. See, uses for that stuff!
