Now that I'm retired, I go to the Dollar Tree and buy cards (made in USA) that are good quality and say the same as Hallmark (made in China). People love to get cards...I send them to friends who are sick, have a birthday, or need a "boost." Then I go once a month to get the solar "wiggly." They sit in my sewing machine window and make a clicking sound as they move. They make me laugh every time I see them. I don't spend much on myself except for good shoes. My size makes it unfriendly to shop for clothes, so that's out, and I'm not interested in carrying a designer's name on my purse. I DO get facials and pedicures. Those are my biggest splurge.
