Probably just color preference. My experience with them was underwhelming at best. Broke about the 3rd or 4th time I tried to use it. I just stick with the little wires on the metal discs any more. Much cheaper so when it breaks it's no big deal.
Either I didn't understand how to use it (no directions) or there was a defect in the one that I bought. Wasted money!
