Kim: Welcome aboard! There are three components: A, B and scraps or charms. The directions are to cut your scraps/charms into 3.5 X 4.5 rectangles and cut your A fabric into 4.5 X 1.5 inch. Sew the two together along the long sides. When your done you should have a square that measures 4.5 X 4.5. If you are going to make the table runner you will need 52.
