Default shirtbox quilts?

has anyone here made a shirtbox quilt?

i saw the pattern in a kaffe fassett book. i doubt he invented the idea, but it's kind of fun if i don't get too wrapped up in trying to match the stripes.

i would love to see pictures if you've made one of these. right out of the gate i know i am not going to follow his pattern because my boxes are going to be different sizes after i square them up. should be a good design wall kind of activity if/when i ever have enough squares to actually construct a top

i saw this shirt and couldn't resist it. the italians have a real flare (the shirt was 100% cotton, made in italy.)
