Juki 2010Q Owners - Opinions Please!
Hi all,
I am hoping some of you Juki 2010Q owners can answer a question for me...
I currently have a Juki TL98Q, and am thinking of upgrading to a 2010 to get the speed control slider. My thought is that if I can limit the speed, I would be able to maintain a more consistent slower speed than I can now. I find that the food control on the TL98Q is so sensitive that even an imperceptible change in pressure on the foot control can change the stitching speed when I am cruising along at a medium-slow pace doing really small motif FMQ stitching. It is my hope that by limiting the speed, I would be able to "floor it" and not have those unwanted changes in stitch speed that I get now, especially when I've been quilting for awhile and start to get fatigued. I know I must be changing how I am pressing on the control ever so slightly and it is causing the variations I'd rather avoid.
So...what do you all think? Do you use the speed control? Does it lessen the "sensitivity" of the foot control?
Thanks in advance for your advice!
