the yardage is a bit of a pain, since you mention it. there is a enough of a 9" border print to do a king size quilt, but about half of the prints are only 1/4 yard cuts. the other half are 1/2 yard cuts, and that really pretty rose print is 3 yards. i'm not sure what the original quilter had in mind when she bought them, but i am leaning heavily towards the rose pattern with modifications for this quilt. i'll adapt the fassett border idea i think and frame some of the smaller pieces to bring the block size up.
i'll add in some nice solids/blenders in cream, beige, blue, green and maybe even a light pink polka dot from my stash.
the result should be a gorgeously scrappy showcase. i LOVE this part of quilting! so exciting!
