My SIL has been battling ovarian cancer for 4 years so far and has ongoing chemo 3x per month. It's a slow progression, changing the drugs when they stop working. It is unfortunate that ovarian cancer is usually quite advanced by the time symtoms appear so we have to be vigilant and advocate for ourselves when we feel something is wrong.
