Do you have a sewing tracing wheel? It's perfect to roll a clean piece of fabric over the soiled ironing side. Roll the edge of the new fabric between the pad and the board with the wheel. Works like a charm and the fabric will not pull out until it's time to change it again.

Oops I thought you had the cutting/pressing mat from June Taylor. I have the Quilt in a Day canvas ironing mat and I wash it and put it back on the board wet so it will dry to fit.
