Look very carefully at pictures of the original Jane quilt - the overall effect is eye-catching and beautiful -
Some of the individual blocks are a bit wonky. Some of them are very wonky. Some of them are in the "What were you thinking, Miss Jane?" category
In some ways the irregularity of the blocks of the original makes for a more interesting quilt than some of the quilts made with "perfectly uniformly sized and perfectly made" blocks
