My daughter has a dog that chews the quilts I make for her. I always keep the fabric and then mend the quilt by hand. She has one waiting for me right now, I always threaten to pull the dog's teeth out, but so far Norah Jean is still strutting around (she must love the taste of my fabric ?). I know this doesn't comfort you, but you can mend it. Just find out what happened so it doesn't happen again.
