I use mine..... and rotate them from time to time. The ones that are very worn that my DHs mother and aunt made back in the 1930s are not used. They wouldn't last much longer if we used them.

When my dear MIL passed, my husband and his sister took turns picking the quilts that she had. Some of the older, worn quilts were the 1st to be picked. It was the memories that made some more special than others. It was a fair way to keep the quilts alive and I cherish the ones my DH picked. I've told my kids they have to do the same thing when I'm gone even though my DH says he's going to sell them all at a yard sale for $1 each. He's kidding.... he loves my quilts and I always get a big hug and kiss when he teases me about it. And the kids argue over the quilts every time they're here together for a visit.
