I think the term "flimsy" came from either Across The Pond or Down Under. "Wadding" is another unfamiliar term, used in place of "batting". And I've also heard "wagga" or "wagga quilt". I'm still not sure what that one means.
With the proliferation of quilting blogs that are from around the world, we are definitely being exposed to new terms and ideas!
