I would do two contrasting FMQ approaches to highlight the contrast between the print and the background fabrics. Maybe pebbles vs. etch-a-sketch, or wavy organic lines vs. swirls. This would be a great quilt to perfect your FMQ skills on. While stitch in the ditch is a safe option lots of times, it wouldn't really make this quilt shine, in my opinion.
