The swapping is underway and this months' swap has been a real eye opener. In fact, the quilt police came by. I know! I was surprised too. After some investigation, questioning and wisdom seeking, they discovered that some swappers actually did not use Batik fabric. Now, I'll tell you, I know Batik fabric when I see it and I thought we all knew that it is a very specific fabric. I've bought and sold Batik fabric for many years and I know of which I speak. The bottom line is this: if a swapper sent quilt blocks made of something other than Batik, they will be returned unswapped. I received one package of 6 sets; 5 were Batiks and one was regular smooth fabric. I will swap out 5 sets for that swapper and return the other set.

I think we all agree that if you send Batik blocks you expect to receive Batik blocks in exchange. Anything else doesn't cut it.

I'll save the other observations from the Quilt Police for another post. Back to the swapping - - -
