So we looked at the sewing machines at Hancocks and this is the one we both liked, and I bought it for her for her birthday. I am not familiar with Brother sewing machines as I have had Berninas in the past and now have a Pfaff. Has anyone bought the Brother SC9500 Sewing Machine from Hancock Fabrics? What are your thoughts? I hope I didn't buy something too cheap.
I quilt nearly every day for several hours. I purchased a Brother CS6000i 4 years ago and liked it so much that I just purchased another one since amazon was running a very good price on it. I really like Brother machines as well as my older Singers, basically 15-91 and 201, and my older Kenmores. I have these 4 machines set up in my sewing area which was originally the dining room. I use the 15-91 for FMQ, the 201 for attaching the binding because it is just a workhorse for sewing thru 7 layers of fabric, and I piece on the Kenmore and the Brother.
