I generally use the Superior Threads brand, have also used YLI and Aurifil all with success. loosen top tension- use a fine needle, and slow down- it is the high speed that often stretches and breaks the thread. visit the Superior Threads website. they are a great resource with lots of information about all the different threads, needles, what to use when and for what- lots of tips, hints, help and charts you can print off telling what thread/needles are best for what. a good place to refer to.
