So sweet that you shared your love of sewing, sent them home with a sewing machine! My 9 & 10 year old son & daughter are both taking after-school sewing lessons and I bought them the Brother 6000I, as well. GREAT starter machine. I have lots of little pillows and sleeping bags for dolls and stuffed animals all over the house, too! They are now making pillow cases for every pillow in the house, their friends' and cousin's pillows, etc. My son loves cameo, dinosaur, and that sort of fabric. They are using scissors in class so we're using scissors at home. There are two boys in his class and they help the teacher set up the tables and machines, set up the ironing boards & irons, get all the machines threaded - great helpers! All while the girls are usuallly comparing this weeks fabrics and last weeks completed projects. Sew cute! So I applaud you for bringing more youngsters into the fold and keeping this from becoming a lost art.
