I'm sorry, I think I misunderstood the question you were asking. When I clicked on the link, I saw the description of the quilt, and the number of square inches in that quilt. I thought it already belonged to your Aunt Jen, but I think you are wanting to make one similar to that?
You were asking if there is a pattern for this? As nearly as I know, you would just sew your squares together until you get a block of desired size, then sew the blocks together to form your pattern. You can deconstruct it, as you have indicated, or graph it out, but I would still leave in that "extra row". That quilt finished at 81-82x107", so the are LOTS of squares in that. Even just taking away that extra row would alter the finished size. What size do you want it to be?
