This is the way I see it. Just one block, a 49-patch (7x7) and sashing is one patch wide, either plain or all colors, cornerstones are blue that surrounds light areas.
Oops - just noticed I put a cornerstone in the center of the white area. That's easily changed - make those cornerstones white instead.
Oops - goofed again - just looked at first picture and realized I need more sashing. Darn. Back to work.
