You are lucky! Mine usually runs out:
1. about 3 inches from the end of a long seam. OR
2. Right after I start chain piecing a bunch of small pieces.
I chain pieced about 30 "fan blades" for Dresden plate blocks not realizing I ran put of bobbin thread after the first 4! And I thought I was on a roll...
