hi!

i am going to make a storm at sea quilt for a dear friend.

what i want to do is make one of those magical quilts whose colour moves across the surface, gradually changing from the deepest blues to a wonderful sea green.

i would also really love to emphasize the optical illusion of curves by highlighting the ribbon that seems to run through some of these quilts. it's all about fabric selection...so do you just look and look and look and look some more?

i have no idea how one begins to do something like this. i found some storm at sea colouring pages, but any other recommendations would be so thankfully accepted.
