It could be, or it may be one where the Singer 12 shuttle fits in it. The F&R machines are great machines too. If a person grabbed it, I would probably point them to Helen Howes in the UK for the shuttle.
I agree it's so lovely to look at. The decals are in really good shape considering its age.
I almost had DH convinced (we have a friend in Oregon who might have been willing to go get it and hold it til we came done next), but decided I didn't feel like kraft dinner for the next month.

That would be my guess, yes. Precedessor to the 15. I loved the Singer logo on the bottom of the bed too.
